Murdoch

Murdoch is a handsome steam engine painted in bright orange with green and red lining pulling a matching coal tender. He has black smoke deflectors which also display his name in gold. Murdoch is the largest and the strongest steam engine to have joined Thomas and friends in Sodor displacing Gordon from his position. Murdoch was brought in to ease the workload on other engines and pull heavy freight down the main line. Surprisingly for other engines, Murdoch is not mean and boastful, he is rather shy who prefers the quiet of the countryside. This massive engine can be spotted sneaking away to the countryside to avoid the noise and the mayhem of the island. He is a good friend of Salty and Harvey but thwarts their attempts to dig up his past. The shy engine with the intimidating size can be a real asset to your child's Thomas wooden Railways!
