Duke - 2009 Reintroduction
Product Overview
Duke is one of the oldest narrow gauge engine. Duke has had a glorious past serving the railways tempered only by years of rest and several repairs and improvements. Duke was built in 1897, sheeted in Arlesdale Sheds in 1947, restored and returned to service in 1984.Then again Duke went thorough a complete overhaul and several cosmetic improvements during the period of 1988 to 1999. Finally, Duke has been re-introduced to the Thomas Wooden Railways in the year 2009 as a copper- brown engine with an improved lining and a matching tender. Duke has been named after the 'Duke of Sodor' and living up to his name, he is a wise, stern and disciplined engine.
