The Breakdown Train is an important and indispensable member of the Railways. Engines, even the strongest ones, as Thomas and friends know, can break down or derail sometimes and need help to haul them back on the tracks or to carry them to the repair shop. The breakdown train immediately comes to the rescue of such engines in distress. With its magnetic lifting crane arm, the breakdown train can lift any engine which needs to be carried on to its flatbed trailer. This dark green breakdown train has been part of the first released Thomas Wooden Railways ever since 1995 because with so many trains and such a large network of rail lines, accidents are bound to happen!
