Salty is an old diesel engine who loves being close to the sea and has many sea-side stories waiting to be told. The engine scruffy in appearance and rusty in paint but with a big seafarer's heart gets a boost with his Battery-Powered version in the same classic crimson and yellow paint. Battery powered Salty with a die cast engine and an easy start, one- push button is re- energized for a hard day's work at the Brendam Docks. And as night falls, the Battery- Powered dockside diesel is still happy to share stories with Thomas and friends who eagerly gather around him!
